The Real World Paris house is actually not located in Paris, but in a small village about 30 minutes from the city, Le Vesinet.
The town, with a population of 16,223, has rivers bordered by pedestrian walkways and five lakes. A Christmas market is held there, and there is a postal museum. St-Marguerite church features frescoes by the painter Maurice Denis.
The Real World Paris house was built in 1869 and is a whopping 5,382 square feet in size, according to The Real Truth Behind The Real World Houses
The decor, while still tres MTV, is a little more sophisticated than in some prior seasons. The dining room has a chandelier and elegant candelabra. The walls are hung with art and French advertising posters. The shelves are lined with potted plants.
The show, which some argue sparked the current reality-TV frenzy, has only been in Europe once before when it was shot in London several years ago.
Viewers can spot some Paris institutions and landmarks while watching the show, such as Buddha Bar, Moulin Rouge and loads of great shots in the Metro.
Anyone interested in visiting Le Vesinet can reach it by bus or metro from Paris.
